Sunset Fridays At Kunjani Wines

The summer season is finally here and with it, the festive season too! It’s time to celebrate the end of the year and to congratulate yourself on making it through 2019, hopefully more or less with your sanity intact. While it’s true that it has been a challenging year for many, now is the time to reward and spoil yourself and have some fun!

If there is one thing you simply must do this summer season, make sure you add Kunjani Wines to your list of places to visit, especially on #SunsetFridays.

Boasting beautiful vineyard views from the spacious outdoor patio, this world-class wine tourism destination is in a class of its own. Situated in the Bottelary Hills sub-route of Stellenbosch, Kunjani Wines not only offers delicious food, fine wine, luxurious accommodation with Insta-worthy décor that will dazzle you, you will be instantly welcomed like long lost friends.

The setting is stylish and modern, yet completely relaxed thanks to lovely Pia, co-owner of Kunjani, and her German husband, Paul, the other half of this dynamic husband-and-wife team. The staff members are more like family and they will have you feeling relaxed with their big smiles and friendly banter.

Kunjani’s stylish and modern interior was created by co-owner Pia Watermeyer and the iconic Haldane Martin.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a rare Friday afternoon treat at stunning Kunjani for #SunsetFridays. So what can you expect? Simply relax on a comfy couch on the outdoor patio; did I mention views for days? Add a bottle or two of their award-winning wines plus a generous and tasty cheese and charcuterie platter, and you’ll be feeling festive in no time.

I enjoyed the Stolen Chicken Rosé, a 2019 Rosé Rocks Gold winner. The bottle was perfectly chilled and went down a treat on a hot, summer afternoon. It was the perfect way to end a busy week and start our weekend in style.

You too can enjoy #SunsetFridays from 4pm – 7pm each Friday until February 2020. Choose from a variety of award-winning wines and delectable platters. Please note that no wine tasting or dinner is offered during this time on Fridays. No bookings are required as it is first come, first served.

Don’t miss out on experiencing this gorgeous gem for a wine-derful way to start your weekend. Better still, why not make a weekend of it and book one of their stunning self-catering villas? There is no need to drive anywhere and you’ll enjoy the very best in gracious winelands hospitality. Have a read about our stay at Kunjani in 2018.
