Gonana’s Two Good Special for Week Nights

My favourite place to stay in Paternoster is Gonana Guesthouse. With the recent addition of two luxury self-catering cottages, Aloe Cottage and Acacia Cottage, you are spoilt for choice with accommodation options. And now they’ve introduced a fabulous special offer that is “two” good to be missed – The Two Good Week Night Special.

Paternoster’s first sustainable living and eco-friendly guest house – Gonana Guesthouse & Cottages is the perfect place to swap your Monday blues for the Atlantic ocean’s hues with its latest special. A special offer that is so good, it has to be said twice!  The Two Good Week Night Special.

Stay Two Nights and get 22% off OR Stay Three Nights and get 33% off.

Available for bookings for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the Guesthouse (daily breakfast included) and the new self-catering Cottages (150 metres from the Guesthouse).

The Two Good Week Night Special is valid up to and including 15 December 2022. Ts & Cs apply and subject to availability.

Gonana Guesthouse offers eight en-suite guest rooms – seven with their own terraces or balconies and one, the Studio, a fully equipped double storey with a kitchenette, which can serve as a self-catering unit, or as a bed and breakfast.

Its newly added, pet-friendly Self-Catering cottages – the one-bedroomed, three-sleeper Aloe Cottage – the 2022 Afristay Pet-Friendly Destination Award winner, and the two-bedroomed, four-sleeper Acacia Cottage – offer the perfect option for those seeking privacy.

Views for days!

As an eco-conscious and recent 2022 TripAdvisor Excellence Awardee, the Scandi-owned guesthouse is off the grid, self-sufficient, untouched by loadshedding, everything is fresh and organic and it follows the philosophy of ‘buying local, thinking global and empowering women wherever, and whenever possible.

And ready to welcome you is Gonana’s wonderful all-women team – the reservations team is ready to take you booking for your quieter, during-the-week Paternoster getaway experience.

Read my recent review of yet another fantastic stay at Gonana Guesthouse and the fun activities we enjoyed in this charming and quaint West Coast fishing village.

Gonana Guesthouse, owned by Swedish entrepreneur and interior designer Jonas Sandström, is Paternoster’s first sustainable and environmentally conscious guest house. Located on the Bekbaai beach alongside a greenbelt, it is effectively off the grid and completely environmentally ethical. Water is recycled, power is solar generated, plastic usage is minimal, chemicals are taboo, the gardens are indigenous and water-wise, and with the ethos of ‘buy local, think global,’ the décor is all-natural and locally sourced.

Gonana’s eight en-suite guest rooms are a study of calm and tranquillity. Seven of the rooms have private terraces/balconies, three of which lead directly to the beach, and the upstairs three-sleeper ‘triple’ room has its own private balcony. One of the rooms, The Studio is designed as a small apartment with an upstairs bedroom with a balcony (with a partial sea view), a lounge area, a small kitchenette and a bathroom downstairs which can be rented as a self-catering option. Upstairs is the dining area where guests can enjoy breakfast and a stunning sea view, and the adjacent lounge area, with comfortable classic leather couches, is the perfect place to curl up with a book, a cup of coffee or tea and simply exhale.

The recent addition of two self-catering cottages offers the perfect option for guests seeking total privacy. There is the two-bedroom, four-sleeper Acacia Cottage, and the one-bedroom three-sleeper Aloe Cottage. Both have fully equipped kitchens, a dining area, patios/balconies with sea views and braai facilities. Power is solar-generated, so as with the Guest House, the cottages are not affected by loadshedding. The cottages are pet-friendly – small to medium breeds of socialised/well-behaved dogs are welcome. There is Wi-Fi and nighttime security. The name Gonana is derived from the isiZulu word ‘embrace’ and all who enjoy and appreciate nature and are environmentally conscious are welcomed with open arms at Gonana Guesthouse.
