I recently had the pleasure of attending the soft launch of the exquisitely refurbished Tanur Collection store at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.

Surrounded by stylish opulence, the evening was a chic and elegant affair paired with fine wines and delectable canapés, not to mention a dazzling array of diamond and tanzanite jewellery and classic and trendy timepieces.

I was blown away by the impressive diamond and tanzanite jewellery on display, but the extensive ranges of elite watch brands really caught my eye; luxurious brands such as Breguet, Blancpain, Longines, Omega and Breitling, to mention a few.

I am not really a “watch person” as such, but I was fascinated by the stories behind some of these luxurious timepieces and the incredible and detailed craftsmanship that goes into making each watch. Some can take up to a year to craft by hand! Trying on some of the exquisite watches was great fun and I think I may just be a watch person after all.
