Taste The Lifestyle At Wine On The River Festival!

Celebrate the Robertson Wine Valley in Spring on the banks of the Breede River at the 12th annual Wine on the River festival.

During the weekend of 20 – 22 October 2017, the banks of the Breede River on Goudmyn Farm will come alive with the valley’s esteemed winemakers, local chefs and producers. This picturesque centralized festival gives consumers the opportunity to taste award-winning wines from almost 30 wineries. Unwind, relax and enjoy fresh country air, beautiful scenery and warm spring sunshine with an array of delightful treats, local country cuisines and great music.

This idyllic, open-air spring festival is a family event. The young will be entertained with a dedicated kids-area, boat cruises, horse and tractor rides. Explore the new #TastetheLifestyle tent with an exciting line up of wine offerings. Book your slot for an interactive wine tasting with a local winemaker focusing on a specific cultivar of the valley. Live music throughout the weekend, delicious treats and free WIFI to share your memories online.

Be part of the third annual Duck Derby. Watch the blue and yellow duckies race down the river on Sunday. Individuals can purchase a yellow duck for R100 and businesses a blue duck for R1000. Winners receive R5000 cash! Various lucky draws will take place throughout the weekend.

The proceeds from this initiative will go towards the Bonnie-People Project in Bonnievale which assists the inhabitants of the settlement in building and developing sustainable components within their community, focusing on the future of their children. Just under R250 000 was raised in 2016 and they hope to match it this year. Pledge today to make a difference in these children’s lives.

Robertson Wine Valley will continue their support towards the Thunderchild project in aid of the local Children’s Home, by selling Thunderchild wine from their stall and to raise awareness on this fantastic project.

This much loved, open-air spring festival is not to be missed. With wines being sold on site at cellar door prices, the festival provides the perfect opportunity to stock up on your favourite Robertson Wine Valley wines.
