I’m sitting at my son’s desk (my temporary office during lockdown) trying to get some work done, but what I’m really doing is dreaming about the day that we’ll be able to freely enjoy the great outdoors once more. Nature, and her incredible sights and sounds, is one of the things that I have missed most during lockdown. The beach is my happy place and it’s where I usually go to soothe my mind and soul.

After endless days of lockdown and Covid-19 overload, I received a surprising yet delightful e-mail introducing a new conservation company that is busy establishing their first proposed game reserve. Where? Right here in South Africa; malaria-free Northern KwaZulu-Natal to be exact. This good news story made me smile and I eagerly read through all the information and swooned over the beautiful images.
