How do you know that Winter is finally over and that warm Spring weather has arrived? Well, besides the countless number of bright and colourful flowers showing off in the sunshine, Capetonians wake up from hibernation mode and do what they love to do best – go out and explore! And one of the best ways to celebrate the start of a brand new season, in my humble opinion, is with a long, lazy lunch at the beach!
Spring has sprung and what better way to celebrate then at the oh-so-fab Franschhoek Uncorked Festival, taking place over the weekend of 16 and 17 September. The gorgeous Franschhoek Wine Valley is the perfect place to bid farewell to Winter and embrace the splendour of Spring, as your taste buds are treated to a plethora of superb wines from one of South Africa’s premier wine destinations.
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely LOVE a great deal! I mean, who doesn’t? Why pay full price if you don’t have to? What really floats my boat is finding great deals on cheap flights. Even though road trips are great fun, I often look for great flight deals between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth to visit my family as it’s so much easier and faster to hop on a flight.
