I rather like this new(ish) word that came about in the early 2000s. The promise of a change of scenery and routine, even for a short while, can do wonders to restore and rejuvenate one’s body, mind, and soul. It is human nature to want to have something exciting to look forward to, and a sojourn in the city could be just what you need.

The La Motte Harvest Experience – A Celebration of Winelands Traditions

Harvest season is in full swing in the Cape Winelands and despite an extremely challenging year for the wine industry, quality expectations are high thanks to a phenomenal growing season. Shortly before the arrival of Covid-19 and the end of the world as we knew it in 2020, I had the pleasure of visiting La Motte for their Harvest Experience, and I’m thrilled to return again this year to enjoy the excitement of harvest-time.
