Sunday Funday – Cool cocktails @ The Salt Yard

Spring time and the living is easy …. No wait! That doesn’t sound quite right. Summer time and the living is easy. Yes, that’s the song I had in mind. Now that spring is in the air and warm weather is on the way (well, it seems that Cape Town is a bit confused as we’re having a mini winter spell right now), it’s definitely cocktail time! For me, anytime is cocktail time but there’s just something about sipping on a cool cocktail on a warm, sunshiny day … Ooops! For the love of coffee & chocolate

We spent Heritage Day at the popular Cape Town Coffee & Chocolate Expo. This festival, celebrating all things coffee and chocolate, is a coffee and chocoholic’s dream come true! If you were there, you will know what I’m talking about. If not, make sure you don’t miss out on this fun and festive event next year that will have your taste buds doing a happy dance all day long! Held at the Green Point Cricket Club, it offers something for everyone.

West Coast spring flowers & craft beers

I am a sucker for road trips. Any “excuse” really to get out there and explore! Whether you love the beach, enjoy mountain or forest hikes, shopping at a local market or exploring the many beautiful wine estates the Cape has to offer.  So many options, so little time!
